About Me

  My name is Jason Dale. I am an ASL–English interpreter currently developing my skills through coursework, observation, and ongoing professional growth. Through my education, I have built a foundation in both expressive and receptive interpreting while continuing to strengthen my ability to process and convey meaning effectively. I am developing an understanding of the interpreter’s role, including the importance of clarity, cultural awareness, and ethical decision-making. I approach my work with intentionality and a focus on accurately representing the message while remaining aware of the dynamics between all participants involved in the interaction. I also recognize the importance of self-reflection and feedback in skill development. I regularly evaluate my work and remain open to guidance from instructors, mentors, and peers as I continue to grow. This mindset allows me to identify areas for improvement and build stronger, more effective interpreting skills over time.
